A lot of students for over 12 years have been failing classes. They have not been able to do grade-level courses such as math or English. A lot of schools have notes about 4 to 7 students out of a 100 know how to do math or English. Since students have not been passing a lot of teachers and other staff members have been getting fired. I don’t think it is the teachers fault that the student isn’t learning those course. If a student wishes to learn he will try to succeed to matter what. But in this generation a lot of students have been slacking off and don’t seem to care much. They think education doesn’t hold much value. Also in such cases they have started shutting down schools and started making smaller schools. I don’t think that is really necessary because if kids wants to educate themselves they will, and if don’t then they won’t. But kids who do want to educate themselves should not have to deal with such a case just because other students don’t want to learn. Also everyone seems to be busy fighting over the “No Child Left Behind” act, that no one realizes if kids don’t go to school or teachers are fired continuously that act won’t hold any value.
Teachers have started to wonder why kids are failing so badly in math and English, its because kids never give feedbacks. A teacher can’t give a student one on one because then it would just take too long for her to go through the whole class, but at the same time different students are having difficult in different parts of each subject. Hopefully they don’t end up shutting schools because it won’t be fair for the rest of the students who want to learn.
